Isn't education critical to a nation's growth?

The mighty USA is grappling with falling standards in education and the Gates Foundation is taking a keen interest in fixing this problem. You can learn more through this article written by Mr. Bob Herbert:

Why are Indians ignoring such a critical issue? How do we expect to develop if 15% of 10th standard students reportedly cannot even write a simple letter?

  1. "Today's children are Tomorrow's future".if any justice is done to this statements then our country's primary education wouldnt've have been in this situation.if the persons who can really bring about a change to this system(gov teachers)have done their work sincerely then this would never be the state of our primary education and there wouldnt be any need for these blogs or groups. But since we started something for cause we'l all give it our heartfull efforts and try to make a difference

  2. yes, saranya i agree with u...In today's world, education is not what it is supposed to be. Education is preparing a person to face everyday life..but what will happen to children who don't even know how to read or write even after reaching their 1oth standard ?? that's why we are here discussing and i hope we'll surely bring some change in today's primary education..
